Founded in 2003 by a group of
practicing dentists, dental technicians and dental professors
of different universities from all over Europe, the European
Society of Cosmetic Dentistry (ESCD) initially started as ESED
with the term esthetic in its name (ESED).
It was a logical process,
responding not only to the growing interest in esthetic and
cosmetic dentistry by the public, but also to the respective
needs of the European dentists and dental technicians to
enhance their skills and knowledge in that field.
